Home of the Year 2021
Our very own Maciek, from our Cork store, worked closely with David O’Brien to deliver his vision for the kitchen inside his agricultural barn-style home, which is the first finalist on RTE's Home of the Year 2021.
All eyes were on the kitchen and THAT grand piano kitchen island, as judge Amanda remarked ‘I think this is one of the most creative kitchens I have ever seen’.
David has a passion for collecting antique furniture, a collection he had been building for years, and wanted to create a modern space, which incorporated his love of vintage homeware. The piano, which he purchased at an antique auction around 10 years ago, was custom-built for a family, who lived in Cork, dating back to the 1800's and is still in full functioning.
The Modena Brooklyn slab grained door painted F&B Railings added that modern touch and contrasted beautifully with the white walls and grand piano statement centrepiece. See the results pictured below, which are truly breathtaking.
